John Novotny was a long time resident of Breckenridge,
Colorado. His vocation was psychologist, but his avocation included
skiing, rock climbing, hiking and other outdoor activities, as well
as singing and writing songs. John was blind, but that never slowed
him down. He lived life to the fullest until he lost a long battle
with cancer in April 2001. The annual benefit raises money for an
emergency relief fund that helps people in need in Summit County.
